The attack of the Israeli army on the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is a holy place for the Islamic world and a symbol of the Palestinian resistance, was condemned by the Workers’ Party (Turkey) and the Tagammu Party (Egypt) in a joint statement made in Cairo on the 6th of November 2014.

The joint statement was made by Mr. Samir Fayyad, Deputy Chairman of the Tagammu Party (Egypt), and Mr. Yunus Soner, Chairman of the International Relations Bureau of the Workers’ Party (Turkey).

Israel’s bloody attacks will not reach their aim: The liberation of Palestine and the Unity of the Middle East is near

Israel realized another of its bloody attacks. Israeli soldiers have attacked Mescid-I Aksa, one of the holy sites of the Muslim world and a symbol of Palestinian resistance. The attacks constitute an element of the Zionist settlement policy.

We as the Workers’ Party (Turkey) and the Tagammu Party (Egypt) strongly condemn the attack and declare our solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The attack of Israel on Kuds, the terrorist attacks on the Sinai Peninsula and the killing of unarmed Turkish soldiers by the PKK all serve the aim of further division and suppression of the Middle East.

All these terror attacks aim at the peace and the people of our region. They attack the existing nation states and the legitimate Palestinian state that is to be founded, al Kuds as it’s capital.

But the Zionism, the US supported ethnic separatism and reactionary movements have begun to loose. Israel’s attack is not a sign of strength but of weakness and hopelessness.

The Palestinian state on the other hand is receiving support from all over the world. Therefore, this attack of Israel will also fail.

All the Zionists and their supporters shall know: The Egyptian and the Turkish nation are side by side with the Palestinian nation.

Al Kuds is and will stay as the capital of the State of Palestine.

The victory will belong to the Palestinian people. The Middle East will unite in their support and in the rejection of ethnic and sectarian divide.

As declared the legendary leader of the Palestinian resistance, Yasser Arafat:

“Our hearts and souls to al Kuds”!
