Patriotic Party warned the commanders of the Turkish Armed Forces: Striking Syria means striking Turkey

On the 17th of May, Doğu Perinçek, Chairman of the Patriotic Party (Turkey) and Ret. Lt. General İsmail Hakkı Pekin, Deputy Chairman of the Patriotic Party and Chairman of the International Relatiosn Bureau, held a press conference about the Syrian aircraft shot down by the Turkish Armed Forces.  

 

Doğu Perinçek stated the dangers of being an instrument of Erdogan’s policies and together with İsmail Hakki Pekin, they told that “Striking and dividing Syria means to divide and strike Turkey”.

 

Perinçek and Pekin assessed the shooting down of a Syrian aircraft by Turkey in a joint press statement. Perinçek emphasized that the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has been sensitive in the matter of Syria until today and added that it is dangerous to be tool for the policies of Tayyip Erdogan. “These kind of actions against Syria who is brother and friend of Turkey serve the plans for dividing Syria” and added “Striking and dividing Syria means to strike and divide Turkey. Remember the situation of Kenan Evren. If you are the tool for the Western plans for the region, you will be like Kenan Evren. The people will never forgive you.” Perinçek also remembered that this act constitutes a crime defined in the Turkish Penal Code, “Tayyip Erdoğans continue to committing this crime. They will be certainly tried in the Supreme Court.”

 

Pekin: Support of terror

The Deputy Chairman of the Patriotic Party and Chairman of the International Relations Bureau, former Head of the Intelligence of the Turkish General Staff Retired Lt.-Gen. İsmail Hakkı Pekin told that the Syrian aircraft shot down by Turkey was performing a critical mission against the terrorist groups in the region. Pekin added that the Syrian administration intensified its operations against ISIL and the aircraft that was shot down by Turkey was flying to Idlib which is one of the regions where operations are being carried out. Pekin mentioned that this act is a covered support for the terrorist groups in the region, so, he added, “There is a crime not only against Syrian people but also against Turkey and the Turkish Nation.”
