Workers' Party (Turkey) visited Egypt

The delegation has met representatives of political parties and press members.

A Workers’ Party (Turkey) delegation held talks in Egypt, country that has changed the Middle East first with the 30th of June Revolution and now once more in the Gaze ceasefire negotiations. The delegation headed by the Chairman of the International Relations Bureau of the Party, Yunus Soner, has met representatives of political parties and press members.

In the visit carried out in late July, the Workers’ Party (Turkey) delegation met the Tagammu Party, which was founded in 1976 and which is represented in the Egyptian parliament. The delegation also met with the Socialist Party of Egypt. 

Common fight against Greater Middle East Project
After the meetings in which the Egyptian revolution, President Abdulfettah Sisi’s policies and the treat of ethnic and sectarian separatism in the Western Asia and North Africa were discussed, the sides declared their wishes to strengthen their relations and to struggle together, especially against the Greater Middle East Project.     

The Workers’ Party (Turkey) delegation has met with the Egyptian press as well and informed them especially about the separatist and pro-Israel policies of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Erdogan.           

Soner: Egypt is an ally against separatist and reactionary imperialism 
In his statement made after the visit, Workers’ Party (Turkey) International relations Bureau Chairman Yunus Soner said “Egypt, struggling against the separatist and reactionary policies of imperialism could be one of our most important allies in the region. Therefore, we regard the relations that this visit has started as most important and positive.”
